Hey guys,

I'm going to be building a new rig over the summer, and it's undoubtedly going to be pumping out alot of heat...

I'm looking for a case that doesn't cost a frigging fortune (ala Lian Li), but also isn't a flimsy POS... I've currently got a Thermaltake Tsunami which I find to be a great case except for it's lack of length. With the large cooler on my X800XT I can't use three of the five hard drive bays. I imagine this problem would be even more pronounced with the X1900XTs I plan on tossing in there.

I'd love to find a case like the old Coolermaster Praetorian, but obviously with much more air flow through it, as I believe it only had 2 80mm fans in total. I was looking at the Antec P180, and I thought I was sold, but the general attitude here is that the case sucks and is very poorly manufactured.

Anyway, all of your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. I'd like to keep the case under $150 USD (not including PSU).

No offense, but those cases are hideous :p

On taking a second look at the Praetorian it appears that by default it has 2x 80mm front intake, 1x 80mm top exhaust, and 1x 80mm rear exhaust. Think that would be enough to cool the system?

P4 920D (placeholder until Core CPUs are out)
2x X1900XT

This is my case, its an Aerocool Aeroengine II

http://www.aerocool.us/p-case/aeroengine2/aeroengine2.htm

It has a 140 on the front
Spaces for 2 120s on the clear side panel
And a 120 out the back.

More than enough airflow to cool down any system. My temps are never above 44 degrees with all those fans.

You can also get this one for massive airflow

http://www.aerocool.us/p-case/extremengine3t/extremengine3t.htm

It has a HUGE 250 on the side panel.

Why not just open the side door, and put a HOUSE FAN next to it! That thing is huge!

Antec p180 has some nice cooling...i use it and have NO ISSUES.
Also the Gigabyte aurora looks like it would work well.

Also stackers have alot of room for fans.

Antec P180...

Some inherent flaws, but if you can get past 'em, it'll grow on you. Great case.

Agreed. As much as I hate many features of the case I'm glad I got it. It doesn't have a lot of room in it but it you manage yoru cables well it works. I do like the tool-less bays as they allow me to pull my reservoir out and fill it in a few quick minutes. You can also snake the fan switches through the floppy bay door and nest it in the drive rail slots so you can have access to the fan controls outside of the case. They fit so perfectly in there that it's almost like they were made to fit there.

Here's a pic of mine while I was leak testing last week.
