New PC Build: No Power?

I've just built a new PC.

ASUS A8N-SLI
FX-55
6800 Ultra PCI-e
PC Power and Cooling 510W PSU
Coolermaster Stacker case

I've plugged in the case's leads into the 20 pin header as the manual shows. I've tried to switch the leads around. When I press the power button I get nothing. Short of testing the PSU (brand new), what else can be done?
 
Its hard to pinpoint what it is, given the information. I advise the following;

  • check that the power cable from the case is connected to the correct pins on the mb
  • try another psu. if it is not powerful enough, limit the load.
