Yeah, I have been wondering too what the advantages to the Omegas are. Why are they better than the ATI drivers?

Yeah better in some worse in some. Generally 1 % better though ;)
 
He's been so slow going this time that I just installed the regular drivers. Thanks for the notice though.
 
i installed the ati 4.3's and hoooo boy they messed up my performance soooooooooooooooooooo much. so lets see how omega's do.
 
im noticing a big difference in fps with AAx2 in planetside between omega 4.2 - 4.3
 
i switched to the new omegas from the ati 4.3's today for summat to do, and im getting some weird effects in bf veitnam, where vertical things like flag poles and towers sometimes stretch infinitly up to the sky- which i didnt get with the norml atis's. although seems to run a bit smoother, so i might have a fiddle and see how it goes.

Are the regular or the Omega drivers on the better side of the difference?
 
i don't care about IQ, i just want my little old 8500 to be able to play ut2k4, as fast as possible.:(
 
the 4.3s gave me a blank screen at windiws logon with my 2001FP and 9800XT - had to turn the monitor on/off to get an image. went back to 4.2s

i find that EVERY 4.2 is better in general to the 4.3's i switched back to the 4.2's.
 
i tried em but had to run 5 mhz lower on core and memory to avoid artifacts so i went back to the ATI 4.3's.
