Since i installed the new BF3 NVIDIA beta drivers my GTX 460 has been running very loud and keeps throttling up to 100% fan speed. The EVGA Precision tool seems to have no effect with the drivers overriding it? Has anyone had this problem before? What is a good tool that will control the fan speed while folding?

You could try Afterburner. It's generally preferred over Precision anyway.

strange no issue here with new drivers, afterburner and 460's
it did the same here....a quick restart solved my problems

This only happens after playing the BF3 beta
It did the same thing to me and i'm surprised it worked after the restart.....if it's still giving you trouble just clean out your old drivers and start over again....it might clear up any issues.
