New Nvidia Driver

I'm running it on Vista 64 with no issues so far. Only played COH so far though. Didn't lose any performance in that or 3dm06.

Its seems stable on my Vista 64 install as well. Going to runs some games on it tonight and see how it performs.

i was getting lots of bsod in cod4 with the .25 and this new one cleared it up. sorry to hijack but anyone come across issues with rivatuner+vista?

keep getting hard locks after noticing screen curruption with these and Crysis. The one's I used before these didn't do it...

CoD4 has been causing my display driver to crash consistently (169.25).
I'm going to give these a try!

Thanks for the heads up this one has fixes a lot of issues I was having with my 9600GT SLI setup and Vista x64

I have been using the 174.53 w/ a modded ini. I upgraded from 169.25's and the 174.53 are very nice indeed. I few bugs in BF2 are gone now. Plus I can run UT3 with Full AA through the nvidia control panel and there is no hitching as well. These seem stable enough. I will stick with these.

I noticed improved smoothness in GTR2 and all other racing games with these 174.74 drivers on WindowsXP Home. More importantly, my monitor is not going blank anymore, like it did with the previous 169.44 driver. That driver would sometimes cause my monitor to remain dark, even though you could hear the Windows bootup sound and would even just go blank when selecting a game to start.

Any indication if framerates using AA at higher resolutions have improved on the GX2's in SLI?

I'm going to have to give these a go since I haven't been able to run COD4 multiplayer on the 174.53 drivers.

lots of horrible stuttering in COD4 for me, steam version.

Went back to 169's

You don't need the mod'd inf file on these. These unlike the early 170's were a leaked 9 series only or 9 mod'd to work on other than the 9 series.

If you go to the beta drivers @ Nvidia, the 174.74s show up for Vista 64/8 series cards.

I installed my 8800gt drivers from a CD. How do I check what version I have before installing 174.74?

Intalled these on my rig and so far all games run great with em.

I've yet to have problems with any of the 174 series that some others have, but I make absolutely sure to run Driver Sweeper in safe mode after uninstalling the old ones to make sure everything gets cleaned off.

Open up Nvidia Control Panel. On the lower left of the window, you'll see "System Information", click it.
It will list your current driver version.

About 90% of the tearing in HD and DVD’s that I have been having with my 8600GTX is gone now when I installed the 74 update. I am a much happier camper now.
