New MS Wireless Keyboard Problem with FPS

I've been using a Logitech wireless keyboard with no problems. I decided to try out Microsofts latest wireless keyboard - Wireless Optical Desktop Comfort Edition. When playing FPS games and press "W" key for forward motion as always, the character will move then will just stop until I release and push the key again. The distance traveled before this happens is no set amount! I've tried messing with repeat key functions and filters all to no avail. Very frustrating when trying to avoid getting fraged and you stop dead.
I put the Logitech back on and no problems.-----Anyone have any idea what could cause this? Any help appreciated.

well when you type on ms word does the wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww come out or just one W, if you hold it down?
