A client just called me and said his computer was having serious problems after installing the latest security patches from Microsoft. he's running Windows 2000 Professional. Anyone else heard of any problems?

Haven't heard of any problems like that...

Maybe it's just a coincidence that problems occured after updating, and it's not really from the updates.

Either that, or maybe compatibility issues with certain software (like special software made by the computer's manufacturer). I know personally that my HP computer needed a patch from HP it self to function properly with the XP SP1 update, otherwise window's built in restore would have kicked the bucket. So I would look into any known issues with Service packs and updates from the computer's manufacturer’s site.
