I appologize if this is the wrong forum, but I'm curious what the forum concensous is for Logitech Mice. I have a MX500 that I just love. It's awesome.
I'm looking to get a mouse to replace a friend's Microsoft mouse and would like to know what everybody thinks of the Mx500, Mx510 and of the wireless mice like the Mx700, Mx900, or even the Mx1000 (trigger Austin Powers quotes about lasers and sharks)

Link for a list

Thanks for stopping by.

i think its more of a personal preference, does he want wireless or not, and each one feels different in ones hand. as far as performance wise, i say you won't notice a difference.

Does your friend game? If so, I'd say the mx1000 would be a great choice, or the 510 if he doesn't mind the cord. If he doesn't game, I'd definately say the mx700 is great for productivity and, if he does ever start gaming, he still won't need to upgrade really.

lil layzie's got the idea. I recommend corded for speed, ease of use, reliability, and performance.

same as above, 1000 or 510.

i have the 500 and its a wonderful mouse, i love the two thumb buttons.

There have been a lot of talk at 3dgpu about the MX1000 not being that great in gaming. There is a delay issue present when resettling the mouse after lifting it.

yea, but not all of the mice come out like that :D so its still a good option

MX510 + funCpad = very nice for me in all of my games. Get the MX510 for sure.

Cool, sounds like getting a nice mousepad (was thinking of Ratpadz GS since it works well for me) to go along with a Mx510 is the way to go. Thanks for all the quick responses. :)
