I've got an XP2100+ (the old palomino core) running in a GA-7VRXP Rev1.1 with a ThermalTake SilentBoost cooler on it, and I'm considering overclocking to carry me through till the Paris based AMD chips come out. Now, I've been able to crank the bus speed up from 133 to 145 with perfect stability in Sandra's Burn-in wizard overnight. However, it freezes before even completing a single loop of 3DMark2001. When I dropped the FSB down to 142, 3DMark runs without a hitch.
This seems to indicate that my video card really doesn't like a boosted AGP bus. So my question is this, do you think I would see good gains with a modern motherboard?
(Important note, my RAM is PC2700, rated for CL2.5 at those speeds)
