Hi guys, I've had an HP ZR24w for over four years now. I love the hell out of it, the colors, the response rate (for an IPS), the viewing angles, etc... really fantastic monitor, have no major complaints.
I want a jack-of-all-trades monitor, don't really care about 144hz for gaming, as long as it doesn't ghost, don't care about the perfect black for movies, as long as it is watchable, so what I'm trying to say is that I don't care about niches. I think I want to stick with IPS though, because of the colors and viewing angles.
Is there anythign considerably better in the 27-30" $500 area, or should I just wait for maybe OLED monitors when they come out?
