Ok I need to get a new motherboard for my rig, i am currently running 2 WD SATA drives on the controller. They are not in any raid array, just 2 drives places on the controller as is. It is a SOYO Dragon kt600 ultra or something like that (MEGA POS) and i will be putting in an MSI board of some sort. I know i will have to reinstall the OS, but i was wondering if ALL my data on the 2 hard drives would be lost also, since they would different controllers. i have around 200Gigs of shit on the 2 drives so i DONT want to lose anything.
Thanks

Go and check the "Upgrade your motherboard without reinstalling Windows. " sticky down in the OS section of the forum.

As your drives are not in a raid array you should not loose any data at all but a good backup is allways advised.

Luck......... :D
