I want to get another gig of Ram.

I currently have some Corsar PC3200 C2 with Timings 2336 512MB

I was wonder what I should do as far as upgrade, or if I should hold out.

I was looking at getting something like this.

But it says the Timings are only C2.5 on AMD...What the hell, my older stick is 2,3,3,6. and it's like 4 years old.

Should I not buy new memory now and wait for my upgrade i would like to play BF2, but my MB has AGP and I would need new MB Vid Card and CPU to switch to PCI-X

Please suggest me some memory.

I will just go ahead and point out that PCI-X != PCI-Express.
PCI-X is like a PCI slot except its 66/133 mhz instead of the 33/66Mhz of PCI. Its been around for several years, and mainly appears on server boards for raid controllers, gigabit ethernet cards, etc.

PCI-Express (Pci-e) are the newer slots that run video cards (16x), high end raid controllers, and gigabit ethernet.
 
unless your going to Overclock your ram, buy some of the Value ram, and spend your money on an AGP video card.

youll be able to play BF2 with that setup.. but, not on highest graphics settings. Of course, it would be best to just wait a bit and upgrade. if you do decide to upgrade, go socket 939 with either an A64 San deigo core, or an X2, depending on budget, 1-2 gigs of DDR3200 or up, depending on budget, and either a 6800 GT/ULTRA, or, if you have the money, a 7800 GTX or GT.

I would suggest doing the full upgrade. will make it easier in the future.

Yea PCI Express is what I ment.

Anyways, I don't want to buy another Video Card right now, and wen I do it will be PCI Express. This will happen when I upgrade the rest of the PC, to change the video card to the one mentioned does not seem to be much of an upgrade at all.

That and the memory you recomended is crappier than the memory I am using now which is something like 4 years old now LOL.

I DO plan to overclock my memory to get above 400 FASB, hell I have been at 400 FSB for several years now. See my sig.

What Happened to all the PC3500 + that was out? Are they making memory slower now or what?

I know I got my Mom some Kingston PC3500 C2 512MBx2 that runs 2,2,2,5 when I built her machine well over a year ago. I figured by now they would have 1 gig sticks that can do similar?

Will I be able to use my 512 MB stick in combo with a new stick? I mean can I slow the new stick down to 2,3,3,6 and run them in dual channel mode?

Is OCZ a good brand now? Last time I bought OCZ everyone said it was not that good, but at that time Kingston made the best memory.

That ram will do cas 2 on amd just fine....at least it does for me (my 2 sticks are stable up to 245mhz @ 2-3-3-6 1t)

As for using the existing 512mb stick, it may or may not work. My a7n8x dlx nf2 board (and all nf2 boards I believe) only officially supports 1gb of ram total (but 1gb can be put in 1 slot). I just tried running 2 x 1gb in it this week, and I had random lockups, reboots, black screens, and extremely sluggish performance at times. I removed the 2nd gb and it's running fine now.
 
i said that ram if you werent going to upgrade.. though 400fsb overclock isnt and overclock.. the PC3200 ram runs at 400mhz stock anyway.
In your case, i would wait and upgrade everything, instead of getting anything new, unless you plan to use your current DDR ram in your next build.

Thats what I was wondering, If it would be good to invest now? I know it rusn 400 MHZ, I want to hit much more than that!

As for not supporting over 1 gb of memory, what slots were you using 1 & 3?
Are you suggesting that it would be better to buy in 512MB sticks anyways I could just get 1 512MB for alot less money and it would mroe likely work with my curent stick I beleive plus enable dual channel. Limits my upgrades later though.
