Hey everyone, I am currently building this Machine, bulling all the parts for it and putting it together, let me know what you all think. I know my way around Computers very well, and I know my stuff, but this is my first try at building my own.

Here are the specs:

SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Sound Card
2 X 512MB PC3200 Dual Channel RAM.
ASUS Motherboard
160GB Hard Drive, 7200 RPM
16X DVD-RW drive, Dual Layer, combined with a CD-RW
DVD-ROM Drive
3 Case fans, 1 80mm Intake and 2 80mm Vantec Stealth Fans for exhaust.
Custom Alien fan grill for Intake

I will take pictures when it is all done. I also got some fancy IDE Cables that light up and some LED fans. Everything is blue. Let me know what you think

it looks hell good. very nice for a gaming pc.
i dont think anything is holding you back from playing half life 2, and doom 3 ;) :p
 
There is absolutely no reason to get an Athlon XP processor. For a few bucks less (on www.newegg.com ) you can get an Athlon 64 3000+ Newcastle or for a few bucks more you can get the Winchester core.
 
Nope I am not overclocking. I bought the Athlon 3000+ because it was a very good price, and it is a very good processor, I don't want to go 64 Bit yet. I will buy 64 bit CPU's, but I won't use it for another 2-3 months, waiting for all the nice Motherboards to come down in price. I want to build another system after this one I am just finishing up soon, the next one will be a 64 bit machine, might even go with the 3800.
