I put in a new backup ZFS Napp-It server and I am looking for suggestions on current SSDs for the logs and cache. Our original Napp-It server is using Intel 330's for mirrored logs and and Intel 520 for cache, but those are now older drives.

It seems that some small 840 Pro/EVO or Crucial M500/M550 drives would work just fine due to the iops and overall reliability.

Any other suggestions on current drives?

The backup server is running Unitrends Backup (used to be PHD Virtual) so it's doing a lot of small writes and appliance level de-duping.

The new 850 Pro's have high reliability with a massive amount of data writes per day. Though your application is different than mine, the 850 is the drive that I'll be using for my SQL databases. I currently have 8 200GB "Dell Enterprise SSD's" which will probably be dead in about 2 years due to data writes.

For a backupserver you do not need a logdevice as there are no sync writes.
If you need a good read performance, add RAM and skip the cache SSD.

If you really need a logdevice for sync writes (ZIL), look at the Intel S3700.
For a fast cache device (or general use SSD) look at a Samsung Pro
(do a manual overprovisioning) or the new Sandisk Pro extreme with
overprovisioning as a default for best performance under heavy load.
