hey all, i just received a viewsonic va2012wb...its a 20.1" widescreen w/ 8ms
lemme say first off, this thing is big, i mean big big big compared to my 17" crt, but now to the stuff i need some help with :p
when i browse the web/chat on aim, the text seems a little blurry...is there anyways to fix that? i adjusted the sharpness with the nvidia settings but is there any way other than that?
and now the big one: ghosting. I decided to load up some cs 1.6 and the ghosting was TERRIBLE! i am a palyer who continuously moves around and i always tend to look around places and lemme say, with my crt it was no problem but with this lcd, if i move my mouse even a minimal amount, i get blur. is there any way to fix this up with this monitor or is it just how it is? i really want to keep this because i tend to watch movies and game, but, if this ghosting cant be fixed, im switching back to the crt
any and all help can be appreciated!

I think you have your resolution set higher than the native resolution, which could cause the problems you described. Try setting the resolution one lower than what you have it set and than play.

well the max for cs 1.6 was 16x12 and i tried running both 1024x768 and 16x12...it does not give me the option of running at native resolution (1680x1050)
what res do u guys recommend?

ah, well i found the fix
if u go to options/video there is a selection that says "display mode" and it selects either fullscreen or widescreen
it was set to fullscreen, now set to wide
time to get some game on

You have got to be kidding me! This game that's over 6 years old now had widescreen built in?! LMFAO!

*grumbles about BF2 and all the others*
