new lcd projection tv

What exactly is it that you're trying to decide on?

As of right now, there's no need to worry about HDCP. I don't know for sure if it was ever officially announced that they were collectively going to delay implementing the broadcast flags that HDCP requires (on movies and TV). Even so, you should be fine as far as it goes on that TV, as it has HDMI and looks like it won't have any issues with HDCP or anything.

It has HDCP via HDMI - while it's not standard on computer displays yet, most consumer HDTV's released these days comply with HDCP.

LCD rear projectors aren't too bad, just gotta sit a bit further back than with an LCD/Plasma. The only thing I don't really like about them are the viewing angles and the $200 bulb replacements - bulbs can last 3 years ... or 3 months, ya never know. Annoying that they only carry a 90 day warrenty.

ah cool, right now im looking for a 20in glossy prolly gonna get the nec.

as for the tv, if bulb goes out it goes out. Its replacing a broken 7 yr old trinitron tube. We just need a tv as living room has my junky 20in from my room and everyone is watching from 5 ft away. I advised against even something like this as we dont subscribe to HD content and reg dvd through rca is fine for me, but whatever its not my money and i dont spend much time in the living room.
