Hello,

New to these forums, and would like some input of a next LCD purchase...

I was looking at this LCD, it looks beautiful and the specs looks good... I like something sleek , dont want alot of border line around the LCD, and want amazing quality for upcoming games (Modern Warfare2)

I would Love to have HDMI input, I will have HDMI connecting to my PC as well with xbox360

I previously owned a 22' 226BW Samsung Monitor, and I Loved it! 2ms responce, and the contras ratio was beautiful, setup'd with 3-way SLI 9800GTX with QX9650 4ghz no volt up under w/c .

Now Im going to purchase a AMD setup (955 , along with 965 when released , along with i7 in future until Intel doesn't come out with ridiculous new sockets every time, only to have improvments in 3Dmark scores with HT , but I do agree they are fast and powerful)

Thx :)

The best possible monitor you can buy is this guys right here -> http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/...W9nMyjXND6x7Qs2dKzDXTfT5vH7w1Nw0x!-1254135306

I dunno if you want to go as high as 25.5" or that expensive but the image quality is unbelievable, if you can go to bestbuy and see if they have on on display or even take a look at the HP w2408h its image quality is just as good. I personally have the HP w2207 and its gorgeous, the only thing better would be more of the same so basically bigger screen like the 24" or 25.5" models. Goodluck.

I own an Asus VK246H.

The following is my review from Tomshardware.com (very long and mostly focuses on image quality in movies):

Overall, it is a good TN panel monitor for the average person. As a gamer you should not be disappointed since the input lag is very low. Based on www.Prad.de review, input lag is extremely low of around 2ms - 4ms on average. Based their own test, 95% percent of screen shots show zero input lag.

You might want to checkout ncix.com because you can buy a warranty against dead pixels for not too much. And you might get them to pricematch if newegg.ca is considered by them to be a Canadian retailer. newegg.ca only offers replacement if you have 8 or more dead pixels. But I will say I bought a VW246H (same as the VK246H only no webcam) from zipzoomfly last month and a VW266H from chiefvalue.com (a newegg company) this month and had zero dead pixels on either. No problems with either other than the normal playing with settings. I would buy either one again. I think the zero dead pixel warranty sells for somewhere between $12 and $15. If they will pricematch newegg.ca and the S/H carges are close the dead pixel warranty might be a good thing.

Does NCIX.com match competitors’ pricing?

Although it is not always possible to match the prices offered by our competitors, we would like the opportunity to win your business. At the bottom of the checkout page, there is a Price Match button. Clicking this will allow you to enter competitive pricing, and the source for the price (which must be included). Unfortunately, Price Match is only offered to our Canadian customers at this time.

Prices considered for Price Match must be IN STOCK and available as a NEW item at a retail business or a web based store, with full e-commerce functionality, a valid SSL certificate and credit card verification. Exact items, model numbers and part numbers must match to qualify for Price Match requests. Most computer products are sold as Retail, OEM or Promotional products, and while they are often similar products, we cannot match prices on items with different packaging.

Prices submitted for Price Match must be from a Canadian retailer and must be in Canadian funds. No foreign retailer Price Match requests or currency conversion equivalents will be accepted. Price Match requests will be rejected for any competitor’s prices that appear to be a misprint, typographic error, fraudulent price or misrepresentation of a product.

As verification of competitors' pricing is done manually, allow up to an additional 1-3 business days for Price Match processing.

Please note that many competitors' quoted prices include a 2-3% cash discount, when their customers are paying by cash or certified check. In such cases, if we can match a competitors' price, the cash discount will be added back to the matched price.

Express Coverage for LCD Monitors: Zero Dead Pixel Exchange Policy

A potential problem when purchasing LCD monitors is the risk of receiving a product that has minor defects, such as dead pixels or stuck pixels. In such cases, most warranty policies are based on the manufacturer's policy for dead pixels, which usually considers up to 8 dead pixels a non-defective product.

http://www.ncix.com/article.php?mode=expresscoverage

With NCIX.com's Express Coverage for LCD monitors, we offer:

* 30 day ZERO dead pixel exchange policy on most LCD monitors
* Replacement dead pixel LCD monitors are replaced with NEW units straight from our extensive inventory (if the exact model is still available, limited to three (3) Express Coverage exchanges for each product purchase).*
* Cross shipping of a replacement replacement unit straight out of our extensive inventory -- AFTER getting authorization from us, simply purchase the authorized replacement product from us again, and we will credit your payment back when the RMA unit has been received. (Only if products are currently available.)

This means NCIX.com customers that have purchased Express Coverage for their LCD are guaranteed a perfect LCD monitor, free of any dead pixels or screen defects. Express Coverage for LCD monitors is also available as an option for in-store purchases.

* No pre-testing can be done on replacement units, and NEW units will be shipped. Please see terms & conditions for details.*
* Free ground shipping of RMA units to NCIX.com, and free shipping for replacement products back to you.
* In-store customers will get immediate replacement with a NEW unit if stock is available in-store, with a limit of three (3) Express Coverage exchanges.* We cannot pre-inspect or pre-test Express Coverage replacement units in-store.

* After three Express Coverage exchange attempts, customers will be given the option to select a different model, or offered a refund for the monitor. Express Coverage fee will not be refunded.
