New Laptop, Tough Decisions

[Fayt]

I've been looking at Dell laptops recently because I'll be starting college next month, and I would really like to spend $1000 or less. The first one I have listed seems to be the one I'm leaning towards, but I'm not sure how good AMD Dual Core is, and also, I'm not sure how good the graphics will be (I don't plan on doing much gaming, but I'd still like to be able to play something like... FEAR perhaps). The second one is a little more pricey, but has the Intel core2duo and a dedicated graphics card, but it's also $200 more than what I really want to spend.

So basically, is it really worth the $200 more, or should I just stick with the Inspiron 1521? Also, if anyone has any other laptop recommendations, that would be appreciated as well. This Dell deal just struck me as good because of the free memory and hard drive upgrade.

I would go for the second one, better proc and graphics.
