New Laptop? Advice Please.

Hey guys, so I decided that I would like to invest in a Laptop. I have built and owned my desktop computer for about 5 years now and it has become outdated. Seeing how powerful laptops have become I have begun to be increasingly interested in purchasing a new one. I really want something that will handle games decently, I play CS:S casually, and plan on maybe getting an MMO in the future (Darkfall: Online). However, I do not need an extrodinarily high-end gaming laptop, I would really like something with decent graphic capabilites. I will be using the notebook mostly for web programming, heavy processing, and some video editing. I would prefer a Core2 Duo processor at least 2GHz, decent RAM, and a large HDD. Monitor size does not really carry much weight in my decision, although I would prefer a 15.4" so that I can save some battery life. Widescreen is a must, WSXGA+ (sp?) preferred.

To be honest I have really been looking into the ASUS G1 notebook, as it seems to be exactly what I am looking for. However, I will be purchasing the notebook in almost exactly one months time, and I was wondering if I should plan on the G1, or if you guys know of any notebooks planning to come out, or that are out that would be even more suitable for what I am looking for. Price range, <$2000. Thanks!

the asus g1 is probably the best choice

there's also the asus z96j and compal hel80, but those have slightly slower GPUs (x1600 and 7600 respectively)

The new intel chipset(Santa Rosa) is coming out in 2 months, faster fsb, faster cpu, and nand flash memory for a hybrid hard drive.
