charging wouldn't be slow but transfers would be....and if you are in that situation spend $19 and buy the FW cable

My brother has a firewire cable from his iPod 4G that he's gonna give me. It's the same cable, right?
I've tried charging my iPAQ through my laptop before and it could barely charge it quick enough to keep it running. You say it should be fine with an iPod?

the cable is the same on the regular ipods IF it has the dock connector...if it is a 2G then it won't work because it has a different connection

well I don't think I would pay for one either since I don't listen to that much music...I received both of mine for free through work and they are nice...now I wouldn't have any issues buying the shuffle since I wanted a USB pen drive anyway and this will also play music

I didn't say that I didn't have one...just that Iam not going to PAY for one...I get the ones they offer for free or real cheap...do I need a camera phone? nope...do I need bluetooth? nope..do I need all the "wizbang" features nobody ever uses? nope so I figure why pay for it...I get a free phone every year or two and that works....the Moto Razor looks to be a great phone but I am not going to spend $4-500 to get one just to replace it in a year or two

I had a Siemens A-55 earlier. It cost like $50 when I got it, and now it costs like $20... I want a phone to make calls and recieve calls, and send text messages occasionally. To hell with camera and such.
