New HTC Vive Touch Controller prototypes

If you watch the H3VR dev log #25 he describes how that controller works and it sounds like a big upgrade. I definitely want it especially for H3VR. :) At the palm handle it has a touch pad, so that when you close your hand the control knows your hand is closed. So you don't have to press a button to "grab" something you just grab it by closing your hand. If that prototype can also tell how many fingers are touching then it would add a lot more inputs for future games.
 
I believe the prototype they showed can't distinguish individual fingers, but someone who got a demo said the valve person said they are working on that
