New heatsink/fan stopped working

I just recently build this system,,

Xp 3200
1 g dual channel
shuttle an35n
maxtor ata 133 120g
lite-on cd
fans,fans,fans


well anyways...playing games and everything...solid for over a week since the new build.....BOOM got the blue screen death during gaming...

WTF?

I heard all the fans working and all...so I touched the case and it was a little too warm for my taste...so pulled the side off and noticed the CPU fan was dead...touched the heatsink...OUCH! Pulled the plug out ASAP....

Now I am a little worried that I might have damaged my CPU....so i swapped it out with a new fan...fired it back up and noticed that the BIO was set to turn off the CPU at 60 C...whew...I lucked out...no damage....here was the defective fan and I would encourage folks that are using this heatsink/fan combo to look elsewhere...(my new heatsink holds a 80mm sunon fan)

Thought I would give peeps head up...I just lucked out that I didn't fry my new system...someone would have gotten hell for it..

$500 bucks is too much to loose to a $20.00 fan
