Ok...I just got the $20 WD harddrive from OM and i got questions....

I want to partition it into 2, one 20GB and a 60GB.
I want to also copy all my data from my old HD from the C: partition to the 20gb on the new and my games and stuff on my D: partition onto the 60GB....How do i go about doing this? What programs do this?

If your using 2000 or XP you can use the CD to partition and format. To copy the drive there may have been a CD included with the drive you bought that has the ability to clone the drive to another, or you could use Ghost if you have it.

Now that i copied my drive, is it best to have my 60gb maxtor on a raid or just have it as a slave on the same IDE?

as a slave, but try to just store data that the OS doesnt access regularly, and turn off indexing
IDE is still sequential, and it will take longer to access than the other HDD, not that saturating the IDE Channel is all that easy

to be on a RAID array, youd want another matched HDD? No? :p
