Hi,
I just upgreaded to a AMD 64 2 X 4200+, with an ABIT UL8 motherboard. I chose this so I could keep my year old ASUS AGP card.

The only problem is that Windows keeps rebooting when I turn on the computer. I have had this issue before, but forgot how I fixed it.

Thanks,

You mean you moved to a new motherboard/proc, while keeping the same installation of windows from before.

With winXP it is very troublesome, I would go ahead and get what files you need off now, and do a fresh install. It will save you a lot of time now and later down the road.

Now I have that little issue solved, I have 2 more that are bothering me.

1st. When booting, after the little blues squares go by it takes about a minute and 10 seconds before Windows continues booting up, all the while the light on my DVD drive, and external hard drive.

2nd. My memory is DDR 400, but when I set it to that in the bios, then the computer starts rebooting continually again. It never did this before today.

Thanks for your help ;)
