How do you get Windows XP to fix itself when the hard drive device ID changes?

I'm booting off a Raptor plugged into a SATA card. I recently added a IDE card to accomodate more hard drives, but now Windows won't boot. Whenever my computer starts it gives me an error saying it can't find the drive to boot Windows from.

Not sure why your trying to screw with the MBR, especially since that's not the problem. Configure your BIOS correctly to boot from the desired drive.

That's another thing, I don't know where my computer stops booting.

The error message goes something like this:

"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware."

My BIOS doesn't have the option to boot from SATA drives since I'm using an add-in card. All I can do is tell the BIOS to "boot other device".
