new hard drive

i want to swap out the old hard drive for a better one its not new but when i try to install windows on it i get so far into the install and i get"no signed device-drivers were found make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers! cheers
 
need more information! what version of windows? what was done to prep the new/old drive you want to use? what age computer some specs would be helpful.

gtx460 sc
core quad 6600 2.4ghz clocked to 3.0ghz
8gb g-skill 1333
running win 7 pro
i just did a format via disk management
 
i shut down plugged in the new drive popped the disk in the tray set to boot from cd unplugged the old one booted got so far into the install an got the no signed device-drivers were found make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers!"
