New Hard Drive OEM

Hey, i was interested in adding a new internal hard drive(OEM - newegg) into my Compaq Presario. I was wondering, do I need to buy any extra accessories or anything to get it installed and working properly? Im using Windows XP

Just the cables to hook it up. You will need a sata cable. Check to make sure your machine has extra sata power connectors and if it doesn't get a sata drive with the older power connector(same as the dvd drive uses) or a power adapter. You will need some screws to mount the drive too but they are common. If you don't have any I guess you would need to pick them up as well(some machines have extras in them.
