Okay. My original HDD is a Raptor 74 gb but i needed more storage, so i found a decent deal on a SATA-II 250gb WD. I plugged everything in, started up windows, and low and behold, not showing in my computer! It shows under device manager, and even the remove hardware wizard, but not in my computer or the administrative options. Do i need to first format this HDD to NTFS before i can use it in windows? If so how do i do so? sorry for the newbie question, and thanks for the help =)
 
Right click my computer, go to disk management, and it'll show up there as unformated. Make a partition, format to NTFS, and you're good to go.
