New hard drive corrupt?

I had a drive just die on me so I went out and bought a new one. It's a Western Digital Cavier 7200 SE. Basically, I can reformat and install Windows without a problem. When I go to install select drivers or software I will get an error message from the programs that the file is possibly corrupt and to try downloading or reinstalling again.

If it was only a single file I would have thought the file was the culprit. But it's happening to multiple things, whether they were downloaded or being installed from a disc.
 
I did, there's no problems with it. I am thinking of reformatting again just to make sure the Windows install wasnt corrupt.
 
are you overclocked or running standard clocks?
You know what I'm going to recommend trying :)
 
If you have lots of things plugged in (ie other hard drives, cards etc), try removing some to see if the PSU is struggling.
Also try another PSU connector on the drive.

Try using only one memory stick, then the other. One may be causing data corruption.
