Hello ppl of hard forum. I am new user here so be nice toward me lol. Anyway back to business. Reason why I join to this forum is to conform couple thing. I am proud user of bfg 6800ultra AGP and never had any problems with it, but recently something is throwing me toward ATI so I decide to go with X850 Pro AGP and flash it to XT/PE. I found tutorial from here http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=417884&page=1 but before I need to buy one: P I found good deal over eBay and guys says it’s VIVO so I hope there is not going to be any problems flashing it, product: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8746608922&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:CA:1
Anyway…. If I decide to buy this one what should I look for it first? Oh yeah I am going to change stock cooler with Zalman VF700-Cu Copper VGA Cooler. Now is it true that zalman does not have fan adj.??? fan speeds same speed all the time ????? and should I touch voltage after flashing video card ???
Many thanks!!!!!!!!!! :D

It would be the stupidest upgrade ever, why the hell would you do that? 6800ultra and x850xtpe is very close in performance to each other. it would be a waiste of money.

First of all! All my ideas are suburb. I will sell my 6800ultra and from that money I will buy x850pro and flash it !!!! k.. I just ask for points before I do that but tnx anyways for replay.

Like the above poster, that Is the stupidest upgrade ever, the performance wouldn't be nearly enough to warrant the cost. If I were you I'd save up for a new CPU/Mobo/Vid Card. That would be the smartest decision. You could also, maybe get one of those boards w/ a XGP slot? If those are worth the cost, or anything in general

Agreed.

With that kind of attitude, "you have no hope to survive!" and I would suggest you "make your time!"

LOL

Another vote for sticking with what you got or upgrading your mobo/proc from whatever AGP stuff u got.

I think what he was trying to say was that he would sell his 6800ultra, buy an X850PRO, then flash it to an X850XT PE, still keeping money from the 6800 in the process... but the problem is that a used 6800ultra will probably just give you enough cash to buy an X850... so you probably wouldn't make money off of this. Also, not all X850PROs are flashable. It would be very awkward indeed to end up with a card that was worse than your original...

why waste your time

just save up for a pci-e system and sell what you have now to help pay for it when you are ready to upgrade.

Is there a reason for wanting ATI? I loved my 6800GT, but had some compatability problems with older games that I didn't have with my x800XL.

I got my XL when I went PCI-E from AGP though.

Posting in epic comedy thread!

Seriously though good luck with your upgrade personally I wouldn't do it.
