Well, I decided to build a new GPU boxen.

I guess here is the questions.

My main system is a tri-monitor setup - all using DVI.
(Samsung 243T & 2 x Samsung 205BW)
All 3 monitors also have VGA inputs.

Since my new boxen will have 3 GPU's, can I run VGA cables from the GPU's to the monitors?

I assume it will work since I have had two systems connected to a monitor that way before, but wanted to get opinion from others.

Do you mean have the monitors hooked up to both computers at the same time?

Yes it will work.
I've one monitor hooked up to two computers at the moment.

The other options would be to either just make all dummies for the new box and then control it via VNC or only hook up the first card and make dummies for the other two.
I tend to do the second option as it needs fewer cables.

Luck ................ :D

This is only temp for 6 months till i get into the house

I should have it online by friday ...

Got my 50 pack of resistors in mail last week, so I am all set, snicker.

yeah it will work.. i have my file server and my main rig connected to both my monitors at all times.. fileservers connected with the vga cables.. main rigs connected with the dvi cables.. just press a button on the front of the monitors and they switch between analog and digital signal..
