New GPU..advice?

Im thinking to buy a new gpu, and I narrowed my choice to gtx 470,gtx 285 or ati 5870.

If only 5870 wasnt ATI. I dont like their drivers, and im afraid to get lost there. :p
So i would like to go nvidia.

if i was to go nvidia, which is the better choice ?
I heard 480 is not worth the money, price/performance ratio. And it is above my budget actually.

Or should i just stick to a new copy of my 260 which doesn`t cost me anything, coz i get it cover it from warrant.
 
What games do you play that would warrant this upgrade? Are you playing any DX 11 games? (FPS, RTS or MMOs).
 
gtx 470, if you need nvidia, and want to spend some money. Or, just keep using your gtx 260. I would not buy a gtx 285. I do like the hd 5850, just for the record.
 
please list all your specs if you are not going to use a sig. all the advice in the world doesnt mean much without knowing what your current specs are. I love how threads like this will go on for two or three pages before anyone even takes the time to ask...
