hi

this is my system as it is.

2x E55230 2.4GHz quad
Motherboard
tyan s7010
Memory
24gb ddr3 1333mhz
Storage
1tb
Graphics Card(s)
ati hd5850
PSU
1200w be quiet dark power pro nuclear power plant
Case
custom built
Operating System
win 10 64bit

so given the age of the system what bang for my bucks could i get in 2017 system wise?

budget is about 2k uk for the hole system no monitors.

should i just bung a titan ti in what i have or go for a hole new system with a i7 cpu and say 32gb of ram ssd would it give me that much more performance wise over what i have already for the cash or not ?

trying to render 4k vids on this thing is slow and all cpus are maxed out would a new up to date system handle this better or not.

thanks:)

I am thinking you meant an Intel E5530.

Well those are some really, really old CPUs that any modern CPU would destroy in 4K rendering.

With that being said you should look into building an AMD Ryzen 1800X or Threadripper 1920X system with about 32GB of DDR3 and an SSD.

Do you do any gaming? If yes, what's resolution is the monitor?
