Radeon 9800 is a good card, but I wouldn't get that particular one. The one in the link is 128 bit, you need to get the 256 bit version. Also, I would get an amd 64 3000 for the cpu at the very least.

There are so many good boards in the 50-60 dollar range on the nforce 2 ultra 400 chipset (best xp chipset) that you should get instead of that Abit (like my shuttle AN35 Ultra). And don't bother with a regular barton xp, its multiplier locked. Pick up a mobile barton, either the 45W 2600 mobile xp or the 35W 2400. Those chips overclock to 3200+ speed like butter.
Oh yeah and take that extra 40 dollars the motherboard would save you and get a "real" 9800 pro with a 256-bit interface, not the 128-bit. This was the same reason why sapphire had to change their designation for their 9800 pro that had only a 128-bit interface and call it 9800 atlantis; the 128-bit is not up to par with the 256-bit.

But for $800 you should jump into the athlon 64 range say an $80 chaintech 2f3-250 and a $145 3000 (socket 754). Heck you could even strech into the socket 939's for about $330 for motherboard and 939-pin 3000.
