Hello Fellow Team 33 members!

I just started folding on my desktop a few days ago. I am running the SMP CPU console client and the GPU console client. After only a day of folding I am ranked 975,282 of 1,614,320.

Here are my specs that matter for folding.

Desktop
i5 2500k @ 4.5 GHz/1.38V
560 GTX 1GB
16 GB DDR3-1600

Laptop
Core2Duo P8700 @ 2.53 GHz
6GB RAM
260 GTX 1GB

Here is my rig hard at work.

Also, I've got 3 P4 northwoods that I am not using at all, would it be worth bringing them online and folding with them also?

....

If utility bill is not an issue, then every bit count ... :D

Welcome!!

For those northwoods you might get away with the smp client but they might be better for some uni clinet work. As Sbinh says, if your leccy bills are low then yes every WU helps the cause.

Welcome :) What kind of PPD are you producing with the 560?

What is the best way to calculate PPD?

According to some other places I should be around 10-11k PPD but I am not entirely sure how to calculate PPD.

Everyone else, thanks for the welcome!

I will bring one of the P4's online and see if its even worth it lol.

download hfm.net, its an excellent tool for monitoring clients - even across a network and will give estimated PPD and a whole raft of other info.

New folder/user here too. Welcome to the team. I would also vouch for HFM being a really handy tool for folding.

Nice rig btw

Personally I'd sell all three using Craigslist and then build a cheap HTPC/folding rig using a Celeron G530 or something similar.

Welcome on board. Your addiction to stats starts here :D
