New folder on the block

ok under system/administration/system monitor/resources

cpu1 to cpu32 show 100%.

Are you running octos or dodecas? If the latter, seems to me you have 16 cores unaccounted for...

well tried all i could, could not bring the TPF below 7.40...need to ask pjkenned what his config is.

not all wu are created equal... see if the next wu is also slow...

can someone pls. post a writeup on how to OC all my spicy g34's using TPC ( a noob guide if possible)

i am a total noob in OC's amd chips and in unix. any help would be great.

I will work on a guide this weekend... I have high clocked chips on insane cooling so my volts and settings may toast yours... come onto irc and we will teach you the tricks...

A big thanks to Patriot & Tear for helping me to finally get both my rigs oce'd.
Never thought overclocking will be that easy in unix.

Now time to get some of those super bigadv's :)

Very nice, where did you end up for clockspeed?

pansy 2.6 ;)

those chips have 3ghz in them I can feel it

I bet on the same voltage and hardly more watts you could hit 2.7ghz
running at only 60c on air you still have some headroom...

I would tune them a lil more if I were you but I understand leaving well enough alone... if you ever need help you know where to find me...

R-Type has experience overclocking mc as well...

Ah, sounds like you're using Dynatrons then? I do agree you can get a bit more out of it at those temps.

For reference, my extra special 6172 scales as such. (Voltages at 2.7 and 2.9 are not tweaked minimums, just confirmation they are stable. The voltage at 3 and 3.1 however is the lowest stable setting.)
2.7ghz 1.15v
2.9ghz. 1.2125v
3.0ghz 1.25v
3.1ghz 1.2875v

This is all with a freezer 7 pro that has a couple of 1500rpm fans on it in push/pull and folds at around 62C at 3.1ghz. I'll be installing a bigger heatsink in the next week or so to push up to 3.2/3.3. From what I'm seeing on tpf, 3.2ghz should match the output of sbinh's 970 at 4.5ghz. Now imagine a 4p 4.5ghz intel system! Your 4p's could be there performance wise.

it seems you missed my first post pics, i use noctuas on both the boards.

i can get lower temps just need to change their directions, right now two fans blowing into other two thats why temps are high. i am thinking after i make some the changes i will hit around 52 to 55 at 2.6.

I did miss the updated pics, that looks clean as hell. Its a shame that is resulting in high temps, that is exactly the orientation I would have gone with to get the heat flowing upwards.

I think if you had a bank of ~4 120mm fans along the bottom of each board blowing up, it would provide a much better supply of clean cool air to the heatsinks and achieve the same effect.
