New Folder Checking Into Team 33

Hey there, I'm new to the folding team also. The H articles recently made it seem less daunting to get started. Cranked out about 180 WU's so far on my Nvidia gtx260. The new intel 2500k (3.6ghz 8gb 1600mhz ram,win7-64)seems to take a full day to complete one. I see you get bonus points for completion but it still seems as if I wont be getting too many PPD on it, thoughts guys?

Nice setup man.

Yeah the sticky really helped me get rolling. I would add that HFM.net seems like something really handy to have installed as well though.

One WU a day on your CPU seems pretty low to me, but I'm no expert. I'm running regular big SMP WU's on my CPU and I do about 8 to 12. It would probably help the experts out to note what number (6971, 10129, etc) WU is taking so long.

Thanks, I'm really happy with everything for the first time since I started building computers. I can't wait to update my graphics cards and monitors here when Nvidia drops their new line.

Are you trying to run the -bigadv tag with that setup? If so that is definitely your issue. Also if you are running SMP+GPU it will ding you quite a bit on SMP since the GPU client does take some processor power to run. The bonus part is only if you complete the WU before the deadline, and you have to do 10 SMP WUs with a passkey on your account to get the full bonus.

I think some of my WU's aren't being reported/counted. My HFM.net is showing 6 WU's completed in the last 24 hours, but EOC is only showing 3. Unless I'm missing something it looks like everything is going ok via the log. Another weird thing I am noticing is that on some of my WU's the download time is after the completion time in HFM.net's work unit history viewer.

Either way I think something is off, please let me know what it might be or what additional info would help.
