well, it's been a long time since my last post here. anyway, i have a thermaltake fan for my CPU (the orange one with temp probe and fan adjustment) and it's served me great, but i'm moving my comp from the main room area (where there are a bunch of comps) into my room which means that i will have to sleep right next to my comp. that means that i will need a new fan that is quieter than the one i have now. any recommendations? i have many case fans and i have a nice fan controller for them, but the fan controller does not control CPU fans. my PSU also has adjustable fan speeds, thus i only need a new CPU fan that won't be too noisy.
on to my next question. i usually do not leave my comp on all night long because i am paranoid that the power bill will shoot up dramatically. is there noticeable difference if i do leave my comp on overnight from if i do not? should i be concerned about power consumption? i thought about power consumption when i passed by a PSU that claimed to be "power efficent."
last question: what LCD monitor would you reccommend to me? i do not want to spend a lot of money on this and i can settle for a 15 in screen that doesn't suck much. right now i have a nice Viewsonic 17" CRT, but since i am moving my computer to my room, i need a LCD because i don't have much room. i am also concerned about the "ghosting" issue and hope that my new LCD won't mess-up when i'm playing my games. also, i hope that this new screen will not make me dizzy like some old monitors i had in the past (ie. refreshrate low, thus causing major headaches when playing FPS games).
thanks for your replies
