New eye glass; eye strain with 2001fp

I just got a new set of eye glasses with a new prescription that causes me to have eye strain after 10min of computer use. It feels like I'm looking strait onto a bright light, so it becomes difficult for me to focus and attend to my computer for long periods of time. A couple of observations, only certain LCDs seem to have this effect with my new eye glasses. My 2001fp exhibited this effect on me when I first got it, but not as bad. Overall it feels like my 2001fp is too bright, which causes major eye strain for me.

you should seriously mention this to your eye care practitioner. you need to get a professional who knows about eye health to give you sound advice.

I agree with above, and definately also get a pair of 'computer glasses'. They should help.

is the 2001 a TN panel? IF so, it can explain your eye problem

LCD's are very harsh for me to look at. I reccomend a fw900!

Most LCDs are shipped too bright by default. Have you tried adjusting the brightness and/or contrast to reduce eye strain?
