carrying Lian Li cases? When the hell did that happen? I can't find them anymore.

Wtf happend with that? Any news?

I assume it is because of all the cheap EverCase, Maxtop, Raidmax, etc. cases they carry. Not many people are willing to pay the extra cash for a Lian Li.

Yeah, just like the CaseTek cases they started carrying then dumped. They were pretty nice cases but I never had the extra cash to pick one up so now I can't find them anywhere. I emailed a rep but the prices coming directly from them are outrageous.
The worst thing is I am tortured everyday by looking at the very one I want sitting right next to me from a build for one of the owners of the company I work for. The guy hasn't picked it up in two freaking months.

Tell him Lian-Li makes better cases and to get one of those and to give you that one, hehe.

I wish :( Now my priority is the house I'm buying and not computer parts. It's torture looking at Newegg these days knowing I can buy nothing...lol.

"They still carry Coolermaster cases though, so no worries."

But Lian Li has that funky new case with the full front door. It's sweet looking. Newegg may have Coolermaster but they have been out of the Wavemaster for abouta a week and some change now. I religiously shop there and had to make my Wavemaster purchase at Performancepcs.com because they had it in stock with custom options.

Yeah I was semi-pissed when I went to buy a Lian-Li from newegg

Then I saw their Kingwin aluminum cases, and I'll say they are NICE cases.

Just get the cases somewhere else...Newegg isn't "known" fro their case selling anyways...

hmm, Lian Li's are so overrated

hmm, youve never used one so dont talk.

i cant afford one but I assembled my friends, it has the most features and best look of any cause ive used, and they think of everything, i had to do so much less when installing it, less cable stretching, less searching, everything could be put together in pieces until the end, where you just plug in a few wires and its completly done.

I agree that they're overrated.. I've never used one, but I think they're an ugly case, but thats just me.

I've had a LianLi PC60 for a long time, got it three years ago just because I liked the look, didn't know much about cases at the time. I didn't really appreciate all the features until I started doing upgrades and some modding. I recently got an Antec P160, and as nice a case as that is, the Lian Li has some minor things that you really appreciate.

Complaints about the P160 vs the PC60:

Sticky drive rails on the Antec. I really have to fight to get drives out sometimes, doesn't seem like they were machined all that well.

Right sidepanel is really damn hard to get out. It just sticks on the front side. Nothing like that on the Lili.

Front bezel is plastic. Enough said.

Front bezel doesn't come off/go back on nearly as easily as the Lili.

Irreplaceable 5.25 bay fillers. You pull out the panels and you can't get them back in. Nice being able to pop them in and out like on the LiLi.

Kind of a mixed one: The sideways harddrive rack. Ok, it's not removeable. Annoying, but no huge deal. What *is* a big deal is that some of the rails are nearly impossible to use because you can't get the damn cables into the drives because of horizontal supports in the way. It makes cable routing easy, but what good is that if you can't get the cables in in the first place?

Weird mobo tray. I like the slideout one, but I'm willing to deal with it if they needed it that way to have a 120mm fan.

Hell, and I *like* the P160. Nice and roomy, overall good quality. Point is, the Lian Li beats it on a lot of fronts and it's an old case. The build quality is just superb, with lots of nice features. It would be nice if they'd come out with something with the style of the PC60 (hey, I like the plain industrial look) but with some better features like the P160 and other cases have.

I was wondering about the sideways HD rack in the LL myself. I guess I'll find out next month (it's in the closet waiting for parts, hehe).

They're not really an ugly case, just clean looking with no frills. I've seen plenty of cases out there that look like crap and the Lian-Lis are one of the better looking cases in my mind. I like my all black PC-71. :)

After looking over some of the Lian-Li's again, I kind of like the way its made.. But I think I'm more of a curvey/flashy type of guy, like how round the Alienware cases are and such.. I didnt mean to try and start anything if anyone took it that way lol

The hell? You realize that sometimes people look for more than just aesthetic value when rating a case, right? I think it's people like you that are the reason why Thermaltake's cases weren't laughed off the market.

"d00d1 i can have 17 led fans in my case at once if i remove the hard drive cage?1 thats aaawesome!"

actually i had to build a system in a Lian li case, and the entire time i built it, it wasnt an enjoyable experince, it is designed well, ill give it that, but for what was going in, which wasnt much, the case was too damn small, and it was their standard model.

i never liked the design, not to say its crappy, its just not for me. raidmax i like, aopen i like, antec is good, as is coolermaster. lian li just didnt give me the geek hardon lol  :p

if you can justify the cost they are great cases...the airflow isn't all that great though, which turned me to buy a "lesser" case with more airflow.

I'm not really a curvy/flashy case type. I want it clean looking and no door for the optical devices (don't like the Antec/Chieftec, etc. server cases because of this). If I didn't get a Lian-Li, I probably would have bought one of those full-tower AOpen cases. Of course, I was looking for full-tower non-server type cases, so the selection really gets limiting for those types. Too bad a lot of the nicer (even flashier) mid-tower cases that I kinda liked didn't have a full-tower big brother.

Yeah I bought the new house now I haven't had the money to spend on modding :( Doesnt help my dremel was lost in the move either:( Have a case waiting to be cut and no dremel.

Nice case, Overated. My friend has one that we spent an entire day modding, it turned out real freaken nice. but i just cant part with that much loot for a case. they do look bad ass when fully modded tho. :D

Has anyone played with that new Lian Li PC-6070 case? It looks really nice and is supposed to be some kind of "quiet" case.

finalgt, did you not notice how I said Im NOT trying to start something? What, I cant have an opinion on these boards?

Yeah, the Lian-Li cases are pricey but they are worth every penny. I've had a PC70 for 3 years and I plan on having it for many upgardes to come. Very clean, easy to work with and sleek. The fact that you can buy replacement parts is a modders dream, mod and re-mod.
