New Eee PC 900

I don't understand this obsession with the Intel's Atom CPU like its going to turbo charge the laptop. Its main benefit is for battery saving. It won't make a difference in everyday apps like MS word, Firefox and basic functions.

Thats a good enough reason for me.
 
Won't the Atom run cooler as well? From what I've read, the EEE heats up quite a bit.
