I have the oppertunity to get a Dell 2005 widescreen lcd, for very little from a family member. However I like gaming and movie watching. For this money however, I could also get a good CRT and double it with my imagequest so i can get the best of both worlds. so my concerns for this display are:

-can it handle less than 1600:1200 resolutions @ fullscreen well, i.e for videos, and console gaming?
-how is its refresh (worthy contender to crt?)
-how are its display properties (again, is it worthy against a good crt?)
-can i play my games on widescreen without stretching?
-It's general gaming capabilities, any experiences to note would help.

Any help towards this choice would be much appreciated
