Okay. Here Friday, I'll be looking for a digi cam, it'll be my first :). At the absolute MOST I have $166. I do NOT want to spend more that $150 if I don't have to. I already have rechargeable batteries, and I can get an SD card for $12.

So, to a photo newb, what cam would you reccomend for this price range? There will be a lot of outdoor (baseball) shots, if that matters. I was thinking the coolpix 4600, maybe?

At this price range i'm not sure it's going to matter much what you get. Just get the one with the most features that suite your needs.

I got my daughter a CP2200 for Christmas last year - very similar to the 4600. Its a nice little camera for the price

I would save a little more, then get a camera. If you are spending the money, do it right the first time...I would save $250-300. That should be fairly easy to save up...

If you cannot save up, then the camera's I would look for in your price range are the Canon A430, 410, or A520....
