New monitor showed up, fricking huge..

Two questions, when I scroll up and down on the forum, the text seems to turn greenish.. is that normal?

Second, I can get into the service menu.. anything I should adjust?

Is there an easy way to calibrate this monitor? Thanks for all advice!

That's 3 questions bucko! :D

Anyways...the text turning green doesn't sound normal to me, you may have an rma in your future if calibration doesn't fix that. I always recommend investing in a Colorvision Spyder2 Express (about $70) which is a hardware colorimeter that takes away all the guesswork. If your wallet is still sore from buing the panel then try Monitor Calibration Wizard http://majorgeeks.com/Monitor_Calibration_Wizard_d3912.html which works pretty well and even lets you make a color profile to load as default if you get it the way you like it.

edit- I wouldn't monkey around in the service menu unless you are doing advanced calibration with a colorimeter. (not the Spyder2 express)

Well, the greens gone.. turned down green in the color profile.. dumbass that I am!

I guess the other thing is that I want to make sure this one doesn't have any major issues,
I would love to run some tests to check for things like banding, etc. to make sure..

Would a sticky with links to popular monitor checkers/calibration etc be in order?

I've seen several people complain about green trails on the Dell 2407WFP, which can only be caused by a crappy overdrive implementation, so it's probably normal for this monitor. I've seen people mention that lowering the brightness to 28 or something will eliminate it, but I don't know since I don't have this monitor.
