Uber Samsonite is a custom PC case, built and desigined by myself from an aluminum tool case 18”x13”x6”. Designed as an easy-to-move, all in one computer for LANs and anyplace else you’d like to take a pc instead of a laptop. A clear Plexiglas covers the components inside the case. On the top of the case there is connections for Ethernet, a 4 port USB hub and speaker connection. The inside back side of the case has been reinforced to support the weight of the monitor mounted in the lid. Also, I have made custom hinges that hold the lid open and better handle the weight then the stock hinges

Dude, you're a genius. That is one of the most intuitive case mods i have ever seen. And with a monitor too  Props!

another briefcase mod... nice design, well done, but the wiring needs to be cleaned up quite a bit. you need to post specs and a small write-up.

and if i see another UBER used to described a case, i'm gonna puke! :D

Specs: Uber Samsonite has a Chaintech 7NJL6 mobo with an AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 1024MB of PC2700DDR memory powered by a 400watt power supply. It also has a Sony 16x DVD/CD burner, 160gig Samsung SATA150 hard disk. A Diamond Stealth S120 Radeon 9550 128mb DDR connects via VGA to the 17” Soyo LCD monitor with built in speakers and a 16ms response time.

I would clean up the cables more but theres no room in there and i dont have fingers small enough to get in to some of the parts

The mod is cool but i wouldn't go as far as calling it the "Uber case"

nice mod all u have to do now is take apart the monitor and make a frame for it to take up the whole upper half

This would be a great lan rig, just put a piece of plexi over the hardware (with holes for the cpu and gpu to breathe of course) and stick a keyboard, mouse, headset, and other cables, and you can bring everything you need to your next lan in a single breifcase :D Nice breifcase mod though, just make it a little neater inside to match the briefcase itself.

that is really sweet looking! great job on the cutting and installation!

i would love to see you take that to an airport and let them open it up! LOL
you would have the dogs and guns on ya right away i bet! LOL
