I have a VGA Silencer Revision 3, the fan is dying, we fixed it a few weeks ago but I think its just giving up the ghost. Sometimes its great, sometimes its bad. I don't think its standing up well to my bad case temps and the hot weather, on cooler days (less than 80F) it seems to work, however when it faild to keep the cards temps under 84C and I kept crashing that was it.

I have a 9800 Pro and I email Artic Cooling to see just where I could get a fan They told me I could purchase it off their ebay site... its 3 bucks... shipping is 8 bicls becamse its comming for HK >.<

My original idea was to rig a turbine type cooler to it. Not only would it be somewhat cheaper I'd pass alot more air I believe.

that could be replacable and I could rig it so I would have to remove the entire dang blasted thing to replace the fan.

However... when I emailed the suggest the Accelero S2 VGA Cooler. I haven't read reviews of this and I don't plan on getting the turbo pack, I think I'd strap on a regular fan before I did that. Now the only reason why this is remotely appealing is that I might get the x1950 in a short while and move the 9800 pro into a media center PC (full tower) and that makes the fanless operation nice.

It won't mean jack if it doesn't perform.

What do you guys thing? Anyone ever had an S2 on a 9800 pro or hotter chip? Needed to remove the shim?
