Ok i`m new here and someone told me about this place online.
So, I see alot of you have the processor i got.
Which is the Amd Athlon 2500xp+
well i also got a 40 gb hd with 512 mb corsair pc3200 ram
now....

its supposed to run at 1833 mhz....
its only running at 1100 mhz

i`m using at MSI K7N2Delta mboard


what do i do?
 
change FSB speed to 166 in BIOS ... can't recall exactly which page it is on ... but you'll see it ...
 
i set it to 166 in bios... but on cpu z it says my computer is at 1100 mhz and 100 mhz fsb
 
Yep it is your FSB. I believe right now you have it a 100 instead of 166.
 
yes... but i dont know where the multiplier is so i can change it...
because there is no where in the bios that has an eleven lol

How about when you boot. Does it show the CPU at 2500+ or is it showing up as 1100 MHZ?
Also when you changed it in the bios did you save the changes? (I know it seems stupid but sometimes people forget.)
 
are you saving the changes before you exit? Also what version of the BIOS are you using.

yes everywhere it says 1100 mhz

what about clockgem?
should i use that?
 
Read your manual, and look for a jumper on the mboard that sets the computer to 100Mhz. Change it to the non-100Mhz setting.
Try that and see if it fixes your problem.

It is between the audio outputs and the Northbridge chip on your motherboard. you should see a green jumper. Which can set the CPU FSB too either 100MHz (open) or 133/166MHz (closed). The other was a FSB Mode Jumper which lets you set it in the bios.
