New Computer - Very Loud

I just received my new computer from ABS. I'm satisfied with it overall, but it is very loud. My old Dell had a 250W power supply, and this one has a 500W, plus a bunch of case fans, a GeForce 6800GS.

Is there anything I can do to make it quieter? Can I possibly disable some of the case fans by software?
 
If you'd be comfortable doing it, you could go in and undervolt your fans to 7v, just put the 5v wire to where the ground is. If not, poke around in your BIOS - often times there are ways to adjust fan speed there.
 
There are a couple simple things you can do do quiet it down a bit, some involve a little cash, some none at all. First thing I did on my machine to quiet it down was install a fan speed controller, cost me about 20 bucks and was easier IMHO than 7volting everything. Next I bought the quietest PSU I could find with a single 14cm fan (and modular). Later on I still wasn't satisfied so I decided to get AMD'd Cool N Quiet running, as long as you're not Oc'ing with any VCore changes it's quite simple. Last but not least, with the latest Rivatuner, 15.8 shutting my vid card fan was a snap! Next on this machine will be changing the chipset fan, and the next build is definately going the way of water. Hope this helps.
