Hi to all!
I live in Portugal, and in here few people cares about really good
speakers. Because of that the choice is a bit limited.
I used to have a set of Monsoon MM-1000 and I loved it! They were by
far the best speakers I´ve had, but now the left sattelite began a
strange noise and so I decided to buy a new set of speakers.
I´ve bought the Logitech Z-2200 and I´ve very disapointed, the
speakers are very agressive, and have lot´s of high´s and mid´s. The
sound is very crunchy and being used to the monsoon for about one and
an half year, it´s really disapointing.
I´m going to return the Logitech´s, but I must buy new ones.
I already know the monsoon closed the deal, so I wanted some advice on
the new speakers. I´ll basically hear music and games, not much for
movies.
I have acess to Creative, Altec, Logitech and the Klipsch Promedia GMX
A-2.1 but I´ve read some report of some hissing.
I´m really picky about sound, and I want something good and surround
is not important to me. It´s just, at this price you can already get some monitors...

Thanks in advance to all!

I would go with a set of mx5021's. I have and believe me when I say they are probably the best sounding 2.1s out there for under $200. They could be had for $147 at the 'egg. If your looking for mind blasting bass, these arent it, but if your looking for a set of good music speakers, these are. I had a set of logitech z560s before these and I am glad I got them. Much MUCH better sounding then the z560s. Go for them if you want, that is my advice.

NewEgg doesn't deliver outside the US. I recommend another Altec Lansing model, the VS4121, if you want a lower cost alternative.
