I receieved a new computer from ABS a few weeks ago. It has an Athlon 3200 with an ASUS motherboard, 1 GB RAM, 6800 GS, etc.
About 1/3 of the time when I turn it on in the morning, it makes a "beep", but nothing displays on the monitor. There is the occasional hard drive click every 5-10 seconds, but I can tell it's not enough clicks for Windows to be loading properly.
If I try to hit the power off button, it doesn't even turn off. I have to go to the back of the computer and hit the power supply power switch there.
When I turn it back on though, it usually starts fine, although Windows gives the message that "It didn't start properly last time", and "Would you like to start in Safe Mode".
If this problem happened every time, I would send my computer back. But it's just happening sometimes and it's not reproducible all the time. I'm not sure what to do.
